AUSTRALIAN IN FORM, FINN LUU CAUSES MAJOR UPSET

A journey from the southern hemisphere, Australia’s Finn Luu, alongside Portugal’s David Bessa and Poland’s Szymor Kolasa were the players to attract the attention as play commenced in the initial phase of the junior boys’ singles event at the 2019 ITTF Junior Circuit Premium Czech Junior and Cadet Open in Hodonin on Wednesday 13th February. All excelled, all remained unbeaten to secure first positions in their respective groups.

MELBOURNE OPEN – STAR WEEKLY REPORT

Building a table tennis facility comes with many challenges, but then we also get to see some amazing rewards like the recent Melbourne Open, National Hopes Week and the champions that participated. When I say challenging I refer to the general day to day activities that need to be monitored, worked on and continually improved to be sure to provide a long lasting, sustainable club that delivers every opportunity to all its members and participants. And when I speak of the 'champions', I also speak of the same qualities and mindset as the facility.

2019 MELBOURNE OPEN RESULTS

LOOPS Table Tennis played host to the countries major events over the weekend with the National Hopes on the 25th and the Melbourne Open on the 26-27. With over 1,000 matches played to find our thirty eventual event winners. “We had Table Tennis royalty here over the weekend, Australian Olympians, Commonwealth Games Gold Medalist Melissa Tapper and three Chinese Paralympic Medalists”.
