World Cadet Challenge – Preparation Camp at LOOPS

LOOPS Table Tennis will welcome the 2018 Oceania World Cadet team to our facility starting on Friday the 12th October in preparation for the World Cadet Challenge being held in Tottori, Japan. LOOPS will welcome athletes from Australia, Fiji and New Caledonia as well as coaches Patrick Wuertz and Claire Campbell-Innes with manager Wade Townsend.

“We are delighted to have the team prepare here in Melbourne, we’ve spared no expense in making sure that our team will be ready for the event”. Said Simon Gerada who offered the program to the team saying “I was at the event a few years back and noticed that our team was a little under prepared which is why we’ve put the offer on the table and was taken up by the ITTF-Oceania management team”.

The four day camp will see the likes of Danni Townsend and Finn Luu in action, along with some special guest training partners like the newly crowned Australian u/18 & u/15 girls singles champion Parlene Kaur.

LOOPS members are encouraged to contact the LOOPS team directly to confirm their availability to support our team by training during the period.
