A Look Into our January Program

Over the past three months, our team has been diligently planning, working, and learning, and the upcoming month of January will mark the fruition of our efforts. In October, we initiated the planning for our January program with the primary goal of providing essential sparring partners, fostering coach development within our team, and offering specialized coaching for athletes advancing to the next stage of their game.

ADDITIONAL TRAINING PARTNERS

I’m thrilled to announce that in January, we will be joined by several additional training partners from around the world. This includes Malaysia’s #1 sixteen-year-old and Southeast Asian Champion, Indonesia’s #1 sixteen-year-old, Sri Lanka’s #2 fourteen-year-old, Talisha Geata, Adeepa Keerthiratne from Queensland, and Yousef Hassan. They will be integral parts of our training sessions throughout January.

COACH DEVELOPMENT & EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

An essential aspect of my initial tenure with LOOPS has been confirming our coaching lineup for 2024 with dedicated, experienced, and proven coaches committed for the long term. I am pleased to confirm our readiness, and furthermore, we will be hosting Brett Clarke in January for a mentoring and coach-the-coach role.

During his time at the hall, Brett will conduct the “Mastering the Art of Table Tennis with Brett Clarke” course over two days. We’re offering six members the unique opportunity to work closely with Melissa Tapper, Olivia and Hannah Green (2 members per coach) during this course under the guidance of Brett Clarke and the watchful eyes of Simon and Joe Gerada.

To express your interest please message Simon on WhatsApp with your/child name.

SPECIALIZED PROGRAM

While the LOOPS program is renowned for molding kids into athletes, we recognize that athletes require specialized attention to enhance and gain those crucial 1%. In January, Brett Clarke will join us in a specialized role, focusing on scrutinizing and refining those specific 1% aspects of the game.

Why Table Tennis and why LOOPS? Table tennis is a fun, social and low-impact sport that provides great exercise for both body and brain. LOOPS has years of experience teaching this sport to help you enjoy these benefits.
